  1. Nice blog! Am wondering if you or anyone out there can answer this..... It seems that early erotica shows women with smaller breasts, generally speaking but as time moves forward towards the present, the breasts become bigger, fuller, more emphasized. Implants aside, what might account for this? It is purely "fashion of the day"? Cultural trends?

  2. Did a little research on the above question I had and found that indeed breast size IS increasing in more recent years as people are "better fed", healthier and therefore overall larger - plus, there are more hormones in our food and other environmental factors - estrogen being one of those hormones that is used in foods. All this is believed to be some of the factors that are contributing to earlier onset of puberty as well. For example, in 1900, the average age of menstruation was 16 - today it's between 10-12. Interesting "viewing" these changes within erotica......

  4. Well, there is definitely something to be said for NATURAL, in all its glory.... Today is seems much more "created" because the "lines" have been soooooo pushed that it's becoming almost "meaningless" in many ways and most, if not all of the artistic value/quality has been lost. This is one reason why vintage is incredibly refreshing to see - it shows and celebrates REAL WOMEN! LOVE THAT! And there is a unique "innocence" about it, too - something that seems "foreign" to today's nudes....

  5. You mentioned the last picture here being a bit "edgy" and perhaps not fitting the blog. I think you're right, really. It's creative, yes - but personally I think it's more a "cheap" type statement than artistic. What do you think?

  7. I wouldn't say edgy..more trashy..& not very creative..drunken party girls could accomplish this level of creativity. Sorry to be a downer..But I am a stickler for my vintage erotica. I love this blog & I thank you for it. You do my heart good. hah.

  9. Love this blog, too! Vintage has a wonderful artistic nature to it that truly differentiates itself from pornography - we look for the beauty of the nude form, in all it's goodness and essence that is the human being. Keeping erotica artistic lends itself to the Beautiful and the Good.... A little "philosophy" there! :)
